Category guide

What each category means

Boolean

Yes/no questions. The searcher wants a direct answer — true or false, possible or not.

e.g. "is blogging dead", "can AI do SEO", "does page speed affect rankings"

Definition

The searcher wants to understand what something is. Target with clear, structured explanations.

e.g. "what is domain authority", "define crawl budget", "what does noindex mean"

Instruction

How-to queries. The searcher wants step-by-step guidance to complete a task.

e.g. "how to do a technical SEO audit", "how to build backlinks", "create an XML sitemap"

Comparison

The searcher is evaluating options. Content should clearly contrast two or more choices.

e.g. "Ahrefs vs Semrush", "is WordPress better than Webflow", "difference between 301 and 302"

Reason

The searcher wants to understand why something happens. Focus on causes and explanations.

e.g. "why did my traffic drop", "why does Google ignore my sitemap", "cause of thin content penalty"

Consequence

What happens as a result of something. The searcher wants to understand impact or outcome.

e.g. "impact of duplicate content", "what happens if you buy backlinks", "effect of slow page speed"

Short Fact

Specific factual questions expecting a concise answer — numbers, dates, names, places.

e.g. "how many pages does Google index", "when did Google launch", "who invented SEO"

Other

Doesn't fit a clear question pattern — often navigational, branded, or transactional keywords.

e.g. "SEO tools", "Google Search Console login", "best SEO agency London"
